Formerly called the Basic Pilot Program, E-Verify an Internet-based system of USCIS, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Social Security Administration (SSA) is operated. EI bodies are currently free to employers. E-Verify provides an automated link to federal databases to help employers determine employment eligibility of new hires and the validity of their Social Security number.

Why should I participate in e-jobs?

E-Setis currently the best means available for employers to electronically verify the employment eligibility of their newly hired employees. E-points virtually eliminates Social Security mismatch letters, improves the accuracy of wage and tax accounts, protects jobs for authorized U.S. workers and employers in the United States to maintain a legal staff.

Should I participate?

No. E-Verify is voluntary for all employers with very few exceptions. (Some Federal RepublicGovernment and employers who violate immigration laws by several orders can participate.)

How do I check the register to participate in e-mail?

You can register online for the points and vis-dhs.com/EmployerRegistration, instructions to complete registration. After you register, you will be asked to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that provides the terms of an agreement between you as an employer to sign the SSA,and DHS. An employee who has signatory authority for the employer may sign the Memorandum of Understanding. Employers may, at its discretion to determine the best method to use the characters in their positions for E-bodies.

What is E-Verify designated Agent?

An E-Verify Designated Agent is a link between E-Verify and employers wishing to participate, but who choose to outsource the requests for verification of employment eligibility for newly hired workers. E-Verify DesignatedEstate Agents perform the check for other employers or customers.

It works like E-Verify work?

With an automated system, the program includes checks of SSA and DHS databases. The E-Verify MOU, User Manual, and Tutorial contain instructions and other materials related to E-Verify procedures and requirements. Once the user has completed the tutorial, he or she can begin to work with the system of administrative appeals of eligibility of all newly hiredEmployees.

What is required of employees for e-check?

After hiring a new employee and completing the Form I-9, required for all new recruits (whether participating in E-Verify), the employer or his representative, a request that the information in Sections 1 and 2 of Form I -9, including:

O Employee name date of birth,

or Social Security number (SSN)

citizenship or he or she testifies

o A number of A or I-94 number, iftrue

O type of document, operate on the Form I-9 to create the state for approval, and

Proof or identity and expiration date, if applicable.

When an employer may initiate a query e-check?

The earliest the employer may initiate a query for 'individual employment offer is accepted and the employee and employer complete the Form I-9. The employer must initiate the query no later than within 3 working days after theReadjustment actual start date.

Which employees can be verified by the system?

As a participant in the E-bodies, employers are required to verify all newly hired employees, both U.S. citizens and non-citizens. The employer can not selectively and must verify all new employees while participating in the program. The program can not be used in preliminary candidates for the job, do not go back and check employees hired before the company signed the agreement, or re-Employees who have temporary work authorization.
